Ministerial Order No # 90 - Anaphylaxis Management in schools
The Minister for Education makes the following Order: 1. Background 1.1 Section 4.3.1(6) of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 Act contains the prescribed minimum standards for the registration of schools. 1.2 Sub clause (c) of section 4.3.1(6) states that if the school has enrolled a student in circumstances where the school knows, or ought reasonably to know1, that the student has been diagnosed as being at risk of anaphylaxis, then the school must have an anaphylaxis management policy containing matters required by a Ministerial Order. 2. Purpose The purpose of this Order is to specify the matters that: (i) schools applying for registration; and (ii) registered schools; must contain in their anaphylaxis management policy for the purposes of section 4.3.1(6)(c) of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006.
