Does your business or organisation cater for or care for children? | Print |  E-mail

If Yes, then...

“The Children’s Services Act 1996 (the Act) has a new section (section 26A) that requires all children’s services to have an anaphylaxis management policy in place. The Children’s Services Regulations 1998 (Regulations) have also been amended to prescribe policies, plans, procedures and training related to anaphylaxis.” Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, In Practice…Anaphylaxis Management, 14th October 2008

All licensed children’s services must develop an anaphylaxis management policy, regardless whether or not there is a child enrolled who has been diagnosed at risk of anaphylaxis. The revised anaphylaxis model policy can be downloaded top of this web page. Or visit www.education.vic.gov.au/anaphylaxis for more information.

Even if your business is not required to comply with the Children’s Service’s Act, can you afford not to cover yourself?

If your organization serves food to children, then I believe you MUST be prepared!
